Contracts, pricing, the daily plan, pipeline charges, exposure and hedging — cut to the shape of your book. Built by people who run a live gas book, for traders, aggregators, city gas distributors and large industrial consumers.
Indian gas is priced by formula, moved on a unified-tariff grid and billed in more than one unit. MMBtu Desk was built inside that market — not adapted to it.
Domestic ceiling prices, crude oil indices, gas indices, spot LNG and a customs duty line — every contract prices differently. The desk builds each price leg by leg so you always see the landed cost.
Unified tariff revisions, zonal ratios and entity-wise splits are applied from their effective date of applicability — SCM and MMBtu reconciled at your contracted GCV.
The hedge, the physical schedule and the invoice read the same book. Exposure is known before the gas day, not discovered after month end.
Two desks for the end-to-end commercial and operational well-being of your natural gas ecosystem — built for operational ease and informed pricing decisions. Each company runs MMBtu Desk on its own server.
Whether you sell gas or only consume it, one flow carries you from requisition to settled invoice.
Contracts, nominations, allocations and imbalances — the molecules, where they are and who owes what.
Exposure by index and tenor, hedges, margin and mark-to-market — what the book is worth today and tomorrow.
Raise a requisition or punch a deal once. The volume, the price formula, the hedge and the invoice — payable or receivable — all inherit from it.
No login needed. Rates and factors are editable — check them against your contract.
A short desk note every morning — crude oil and LNG, what moved and why it matters to an Indian book.
Oil drifted lower after a damaged Saudi export pipeline regained part of its capacity and Saudi barrels reached Asian refiners by ship-to-ship transfer outside the Strait of Hormuz. Beyond the next few weeks the picture is murky: nobody agrees on how much crude still transits the strait, security around Bab el-Mandeb has deteriorated, and a US call on Iran plus a US–China summit are the next signposts. For an Indian book, crude-linked slopes get a breather — not a reset.
Asian spot prices have come down from multi-year highs, yet buyers in Asia and Europe are still bidding for the same non-Gulf cargoes. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Thailand remain active for prompt delivery, and Indian LNG imports are at a near six-year high on fertiliser and fuel-retail demand. Europe is the swing: Norwegian pipeline flows are running below average after outages at Troll, French nuclear output is weak and Algerian gas into Italy has dipped, while LNG arrivals into North-west Europe have fallen as cargoes divert. Faster European restocking — Germany is weighing a bigger storage incentive — would pull cargoes away from Asia; a softer storage target and a mild winter would ease the tightness.
MMBtu Desk Private Limited was started by people who ran a live Indian gas book and got tired of reconciling three systems and a spreadsheet every month. The software is the desk we wished we had — priced in rupees, nominated in SCM, hedged in MMBtu.
Every client runs their own server. Your book never shares a database with anyone else's.
